Jakarta BPBD Prepares Contingency of Flood Anticipation

The city administration plans to prepare the contingency of flood anticipation. Head of Informatic and Control Section for Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Bambang Suryaputra said scenario is divided into three parts.

Scenario starts from the threat of flooding from the first week until the fourth week of February 2016

"Scenario starts from the threat of flooding from the first week until the fourth week of February 2016," he said, Thursday (2/11).

There is the sequence of its own flood scenarios, emergency alert dated on February 12-21, 2016. When the Katulampa and Depok sluice gate reached alert 1, Manggarai alert 1, Sunter Hulu will touch alert 2 with rainfall between 120-400 millimeters.

With the spread flooding in 18 sub-districts, 34 urban villages and 133 RWs and caused 1,658,649 victims and 53,755 people take refuge.

Next scenario is emergency response dated on February 22, 2016 when some sluice gates like Katulampa, Depok, Karet, Pasar Ikan and Manggarai reached alert 1 and Sunter Hulu alert 2 with rainfall between 2,800-400 millimeters.

Then spread flooding in 23 sub-districts, 57 urban villages, 201 RWs and caused 2,715,943 victims and 72,659 people take refuge.

Last scenario, emergency transition in first week March 2016 where some sluices like Katulampa, Depok, Pasar Ikan shows on alart 3, Sunter Hulu Siaga alert 2, Karet and Manggarai alert 1 with rainfall between 120 millimeters.

This spread flooding is in 8 sub-districts, 13 urban villages and 60 RWs and caused 648,226 victims and 24,983 people take refuge.
